From the busy mom, to the high school student, we make sure that we carry something for everyone. As a young woman myself, I know that women wear many different hats.
What inspired you to start your jewelry business?
I’ve always been a creative person. From 5 years old and up, I used to design Barbie doll clothes from rubber bands and craft paper. I’ve always told myself that i would be a designer and work for myself. Originally, I thought that I would be a fashion designer until I realized that I couldn’t draw or sew.
One of my cousins used to have this plastic bead stringing kit, and every time that I went over her house, I would always make something. From then on, whenever my parents would get me presents, they always included a toy bead stringing kit.
At about 14, a friend invited my sister and I to her house for a jewelry making party. After the party, we immediately went to the craft store and purchased some basic materials. Over the next few weeks, we got better and better. After a couple of months, we got so good that people would come up to us and ask if we sold our jewelry. Eventually, we started to find places to sell to vend at. At 15, a concierge company approached us about joining their network. We began to sell with them, as well as at local high schools. Our jewelry was a big hit with the teachers.
The better that I got, the more that I fell in love with the craft, and I knew that I wanted to do this for the rest of my life.
What is the brand’s philosophy?
Our ultimate goal is to provide affordable luxury for women all around the world. Our brand is for every woman. From the busy mom, to the high school student, we make sure that we carry something for everyone. As a young woman myself, I know that women wear many different hats, and its very important to me that no ones ever excluded from feeling beautiful and special because of a price point.
What has been your greatest achievement so far?
As I mentioned before, we had a wonderful experience working with a concierge company at a young age and selling our jewelry in schools. We also had the amazing opportunity to donate hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry to delegates from around the world at a special convention a couple of years back.
We’ve had so many great opportunities and experiences over the years, but at the end of the day, I would say that our greatest achievement is seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they wear our jewelry. Just yesterday, one of my fabulous customers told me that she was purchasing some pieces to pass down to her daughters when they grew up. You don’t know how deeply that hit me.
