All cosmetics are cruelty-free and never tested on animals
Consciously choosing cruelty-free and chemical-free cosmetics is a great idea. By choosing vegan cosmetics and skin care you can be sure that they don’t contain chemicals which are bad for your body. As your skin absorbs a great deal of the products that you apply on your skin it’s surprising how many cosmetic brands are still using bad ingredients. That’s why I was so happy to interview The DETROIT BEAUTY COMPANY™️ as their beauty products are cruelty-free and there are no chemicals used. Read the interview to find out more.
What inspired you to start your brand/business?
Being a vegetarian for the last 13+ years has really inspired me and has opened my eyes to the health world. There are so many awful foods w/ chemicals That I refrain from I started thinking why not my beauty too? I initially planned on just becoming a beauty influencer but then I thought why not turn my passion into a potentially lucrative career, all while being able to educate others on the Heath concerns so many of the products in our beauty industry create.
What is the brand’s philosophy?
The philosophy of my brand is Loving & focusing on the entire Beauty Culture as a whole /health/wellness/self-empowerment/ happiness. Educating, developing and branding a name that isn’t just another beauty product on the market but more like launching a beauty REVOLUTION gaining the attention of consumers who are being poisoned daily from their cosmetic products. And to hopefully gain the attention of lawmakers to make international cosmetic laws more strict. And requiring that ALL COSMETICS BE CRUELTY-FREE & NEVER TESTED ON ANIMALS.
What has been your greatest achievement so far?
I’ve given up multiple times before I even made it public (on social media lol) that I was starting a beauty company. My anxiety of failure took over before I really even began. Then my guilt set in and I was so bad for basically giving up on this new found dream. I’ve resumed then repeated the set back only to come back mentally stronger each time. My greatest achievement thus far is sure yet to come because I’m not satisfied yet. Given we’re another few weeks out from launching I can only hope for great things!
