Start Your Spring Season With These Fashion Essentials

spring, spring fashion

Are we excited that spring is just around the corner? Totally! Now that we’re looking forward to the sunny days, sipping endless cups of coffee (or cocktails) in our favourite outdoor coffee place, it’s also time to think about all the fashion combinations we are about to rock in that spring sun. Since your closet is full of winter wardrobe, it’s time you got yourself to the shopping mall and got all the essential items for a fashionable and unforgettable spring. If you’re having difficulties trying to determine which pieces of clothing you should own, take a look at this list. However, if you already know this, you can also take a look at the following list and use it as a check-up list.

Tops

The satin camisole

The satin cami might be something you used to wear daily in high school, but you already know that the ‘90s and ‘00s fashion is back, so this garment is definitely something that you should have in your wardrobe this spring. It can be combined very easily with any other garment, and most importantly, it’s very instagrammable. Opt for nude colours just to make sure the process of combining it with other items of clothing is easier and more effective.

Denim shirts

Denim power has been back for two years now, but it seems that this year it will be bigger than ever. You will get to witness some amazing head-to-toe denim combinations, so having a simple denim shirt in your wardrobe is a definite must. If you’re into this denim obsession, make sure to also get denim bottoms and pair them together, and if you’re bold enough – why not denim shoes as well?

The classic white tee

A definite garment that will never go out of fashion and that is here for the upcoming spring as well is the classic white t-shirt. This should be your best friend as it is simple, minimalistic (which means that it goes well with literally everything), and it can fit any occasion. If you’re going to a formal event, combine it with a formal skirt and a blazer and there you go. Alternatively, wearing it with shorts is a great casual daily combo.

Dresses

Spring carries with it various events, such as wedding ceremonies and outdoor parties. Therefore, you should own a couple of beautiful evening dresses for those occasions. Make sure to follow the latest trends, however, and choose some that are fashionable but also look great on you. The biggest mistake would be to choose a dress that’s not appropriate for your body type, so do your homework!

Bottoms

Bell-bottoms

Even though we long passed the ‘70s, there are some things that still look great. Rocking ‘70s-inspired bell jeans this spring is the way to go. Choose light denim jeans that are skinny on the thighs but relaxed on the base. Pair them up with a denim shirt (mentioned above – see how everything makes sense?) and nice high heels and you got yourself a flattering spring look.

Shorts

Did you really think a spring/summer season will happen without a nice and fashionable pair of shorts? However, twist it up a bit by choosing a pair that’s not denim, but rather flannel, as you don’t want to look like you’re visiting Coachella. Choose pastel colours so that you make the matching easier, and to look very springy. If you, for example, pair nice light pink shorts with a minimalistic white tee and use signature accessories, you’ll be the fashion diva you’ve always wanted to be.

This is definitely something that started last year, but this year it will be totally acceptable to parade them in public. There are many onesies out there that you can wear for a walk, shopping or drinking coffee with your friends, so make sure to get yourself one if you really want to be the fashionista of 2018.

Last but certainly not least – pencil skirts. These are a must in plenty occasions, such as a formal meeting in your office, or a corporate dinner party. It’s practically impossible not to look good in these – just make sure you use the appropriate footwear. You really don’t want any flats paired with pencil skirts but, of course, you know that.

There you go, ladies, the essential garments for the upcoming spring. See how many things from the list you already own, and go get the rest. You’ll thank us for being the most fashionable among your friends and colleagues!
