There are millions of things to do with friends, but most of us opt for the same old, same old. While there’s nothing wrong with falling back on tried-and-true plans like grabbing drinks or catching a movie, we’re going to suggest planning a get-together that’ll break up your usual normal routine.
Good food, great music and lots of entertainment are the three integral components of a successful party. People may forgive you for serving tasteless food or you may get away with boring music, however, if you do not have any plans for your guests’ entertainment you might have a tough time getting even a handful of people for your next party. Nobody likes to go to boring parties where you just go greet the hosts, eat, and come back. An element of fun and entertainment is the soul of any party. So, in case you have party planning on your mind, make sure you have a solid plan for the entertainment of your guests.
Games
Plan a few games, crafting the duration of each game to fit the length of the event. Offer games that guests can partake in both sitting and moving around to accommodate all in attendance!
Photo booths are a great idea and add merriment to the party. Guests get the opportunity to get in fun poses with exciting and comical props. Appropriate backdrops are the finishing touches to help capture special moments.
Karaoke
For a late-night soiree, throw a karaoke party. Invest in a karaoke machine or download the Sing! app on your phone. For a fun twist, try karaoke roulette and have guests choose which song other guests should sing once they come up to the mic. Keep the food simple, and order pizza. Have plenty of beer on hand, and don’t forget to take video to document your friends’ most embarrassing karaoke moments of the night at a private karaoke booth.
Entertainment
If your party group comprises 30 or more people, you can think of hiring stage performers for their entertainment. You can invite a stand-up comedian like Mike Falzone to have the audience in splits or you may choose to enthrall your guests by a sensational dance or singing performance by a professional artist. A magic show is also a good idea if your guests are all in different age groups. Before choosing an artist for a stage performance, go through his or her previous performances.
