One of the things that affect all women, regardless of their age, is low body confidence. It doesn’t matter if you’re 15, 25 or 55 – if you have personal issues and if you’re self-conscious about your body, you’re never going to be fully satisfied with yourself. This is especially important once a woman hits 30 – they start seeing rapid changes in the body, making them even more self-conscious which can have negative results on their mental health. This can be quite nerve-racking, especially if you’re the type of person who paid a lot of attention to their physique when you were young. But turning 30, 40, or even 50 is nothing but a number – your state of mind should be exactly as it was when you were 20. Take a look at some of the ways that will make you glow regardless of how old you are:
Ditch the negativity
This is a tip that seems rather easy, yet not many of us actually go by this mantra when you think about it. Surrounding yourself with positive people and enjoying the things that you want to experience can have serious benefits for your mental health that can furthermore enhance your overall appearance as well. Being happy from the inside will show on the outside, and the first step here is to be content with yourself and to have some moderation in life. Take a good look in the mirror and remind yourself of all the good things that you went through, are going through right now and the good things that await you. Never focus on your age or the things you dislike about your body, but work on finding the silver lining in everything that you do.
Embrace the changes

As already mentioned, turning 30 or 40 can impose different changes in your body that might make you feel nervous and dissatisfied altogether. Perhaps the most significant body change that can come up during this time is menopause, a thing that women, in general, fear. Before a woman hits menopause, they will start noticing different changes, starting with sweating and hot flashes, so it’s very important to help your body by giving it healthy menopausal supplements that will make this issue more tolerable. Taking these is crucial in perimenopause – the transitionary period that can start in your late thirties or early forties. Lastly, remember that all of this is natural and a woman’s body is beautiful in different ways throughout the years. You are not expected to have a body of an 18-year-old while you are 40, but you can be sexual and beautiful in a more mature kind of way.
Know what you’re eating

This brings us to the next item on the list – your diet. Remember that no matter how much you love unhealthy food, this is the time when you have to teach yourself to eat healthily and drink plenty of fluids. Cooking is an activity that you have to embrace, and know which dietary regime is suitable for your body type – you can always use nutritionist’s services to determine this. Your metabolism slows down, and you are not able to process all the unhealthy ingredients that you give your body by eating unhealthy or junk food. Turn to vegetables and protein, always cook and avoid deep-fried food and carbs.
Find the perfect workout
Finally, get those gym shoes and your equipment, and hit the gym as soon as possible! Your workout’s frequency and intensity will depend on your body type goals, but in order to stay healthy and maintain a proper figure, you will not have to exercise more than two to three times per week. See which workout you enjoy – try pilates, yoga, or light cardio. All of us have different body types and going with only one workout plan will not do us much good. The good thing is that you can always hire a personal trainer to make a workout plan just for you and your body type, depending on the things you want to achieve.
When you check all of these items, you can focus on your skincare and your fashion and you can be the next Claudia Schiffer, Giselle Bundchen or Cate Blanchett who always look amazing, regardless of how old (or how young) they are. Good luck girls!
