Ludovic Bachot is a successful contemporary painter born in Paris and based in Cannes. His work is featured in numerous expositions in Cannes, Nice, and Monaco and to Prince Albert II of Monaco. I had the honor to feature his work in my magazine www.modelonamission.com When you are in the Cote d’Azur make sure you visit his art gallery.
His influences, like many artists of his generation, are those inspired by Andy Warhol – the inventor of Pop Art, Ludovic learned early enough to move on from this attraction, drawing in its history to create a world: his world. A universe populated with skulls, hands, guitars and vivid colors.
His three-dimensional works are exploring new avenues while enjoying surprising us and illuminating our gaze on the world. There is in Ludovic’s work an exacerbated concern for detail and a surgical precision to its execution. A rigor that in no way contradicts or muzzles his creative force. These works, although unprecedented, register as essential markers in the current landscape of Contemporary Art. All. in effect, advocate the power of life, the power of color, of love and the brotherhood.
As for Death, it is veiled, silently, in the fluorescent sheet of eternal youth. Ludovic uses many materials in the creation of his works including aluminum, polyurethane paint, wood, glass, steel, plastic, resin and Real Swarovski crystals.
