Bangalore to Kodachadri Weekend Trekking Adventure

Kodachadri

Last weekend, my friends and I planned an adventurous Bangalore to Kodachadri weekend trekking adventure. Our group of 12 carefully researched travel options, trekking distance, homestay arrangements, and estimated costs. We realized that for a group of this size, the best way to travel comfortably and stay together was by booking a tempo traveller for rent in Bangalore.

On 26/09/2025 at 8 PM, our 12 seater tempo traveller on rent in Bangalore arrived to pick us up. The driver first stopped at each friend’s home before we hit the road. None of us knew the exact route, but our driver guided us skillfully. The journey itself was full of fun—we stopped for tea breaks, played music, sang along, danced, and shared stories. The night air was cool and refreshing, making the drive a part of the adventure. Traveling together in one vehicle made the ride comfortable and enjoyable.

We reached Kodachadri by 7 AM, where our trekking guide greeted us. After a quick fresh-up, we started the 12 km trek one way. The trail led us through dense forests, flowing streams, and mini waterfalls. Along the way, we also visited a small temple nestled in the forest, which was a peaceful spot to pause and enjoy the surroundings. The forest was alive with birdsong, rustling leaves, and distant water sounds, making the trek both calming and exciting.

Walking through the trail was challenging at times, especially while crossing streams and uneven terrain, but the sense of adventure and breathtaking natural scenery kept our spirits high. We paused frequently to take photographs, record videos, and soak in the beauty around us. Every step felt rewarding as we climbed higher, surrounded by lush greenery.

By 2 PM, we reached the peak. The panoramic views from the top were spectacular—valleys covered in mist, distant hills, and the sound of waterfalls completing the serene atmosphere. We had packed food with us and enjoyed a small lunch while taking in the views.

Our adventure continued as we trekked 7 km to Hidlumane Waterfalls, where we swam and played in the cool water. Despite a few leeches along the trail, the excitement of the waterfall and the joy of being surrounded by nature kept everyone motivated. In total, we trekked about 20 km over the course of the day.

After returning to our homestay, we freshened up and spent the evening enjoying a fire camp, music, and laughter. We finally slept around 3 AM, exhausted but extremely happy. The next day, after lunch and packing, we started the journey back to Bangalore. Our tempo traveller for rent in Bangalore made the return journey easy and comfortable, giving everyone space to relax and reflect on the weekend.

Booking a 12 seater tempo traveller on rent in Bangalore was one of the best decisions we made. It allowed us to travel together as a group, rest during the long night drive, and enjoy the journey without stress. This Bangalore to Kodachadri weekend trekking adventure wasn’t just about the destination—it was about friendship, adventure, and unforgettable memories created along the way.
